We take your pet’s safety and recovery seriously with any surgical procedure. Our staff is highly trained and the technology and tools we use are state-of-the-art.

Every patient is given a thorough, comprehensive examination to make sure they are healthy enough to undergo the procedure. Anesthesia is carefully tailored to each pet and is monitored pre and post-op. We offer various general and soft tissue surgery procedures.

We recommend and offer in-house blood work panels to be performed on each patient undergoing any surgical procedure at our facility. This helps guide our team in providing the best care that is tailored to your pets' specific needs.

For an estimate on your pet's surgery, please call our office and a member of our team will be happy to assist you.

What to Expect Before Surgery

The evening before your pet's surgery, you will need to ensure they are not offered any food or treats after 8 PM. You may offer them water, but please refrain from feeding. Drop-Off for surgical patients is scheduled each morning from 8:00-8:30 AM.

When dropping your pet off for surgery, you will meet with a veterinary team member for a few moments to go over the estimated costs for the procedure and to discuss any questions or concerns you may have.

Surgery

From small to complex procedures, we can handle your pet's surgical needs.

We will closely monitor your pet throughout the procedure and during recovery. Once the surgery is complete, the veterinarian will call you to discuss how the procedure went, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time for discharge.

For most surgical procedures, we require your pet to stay several hours after the procedure is completed to allow our staff to monitor and ensure your pet is able to go home. Discharge is usually scheduled between 3:30-5:30 PM.

Discharge and At Home Care

At discharge, a veterinary assistant or veterinarian will go over your pet's at home care instructions. Each patient is sent home with instructions for providing the best care and instructions on how & when to give medication(s) if any were prescribed.

If a follow-up appointment is required, our staff will schedule this appointment at the time of discharge.
